The 14th Conference of the Trade and Economic Ministers of SCO was held in Xi’an Shanxi on September 16. The Chairman of the Conference, Head of Chinese Delegation and Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng led the delegation to attend the meeting. The conference was themed on the docking between the regional economic cooperation of the SCO and the “Belt and Road Initiative”, focusing on implementing the consensuses reached by the leaders of the UFA Head-of-State Summit in July, strengthening the joint construction of the “Belt and Road Initiative” and discussing the current key issues in the regional economic cooperation of the SCO. It intends to make preparation regarding trade and economic aspect for the SCO Premiers’ Conference which is to be held by the end of this year.
The Trade and Economic Ministers of 16 member countries, observer countries and dialogue countries of the SCO, the SCO Secretariat, Industrialist Committee, Bank Combo and Eurasian Economic Committee attended the conference. After the conference, heads of delegations of all countries signed the document of great significance.
